SEPTEMBER 2008

“Radio Daze”

Our summer show was a great success and much enjoyed by performers and audiences. Thank you to Cathy and Carli for your help on the nights of the shows. Next year’s show is already being planned, with a “swing theme”.

Parade / Fun Days

We also took part in the Festival Parade and Fun Days in Elstree and Radlett. Well done to all who took part and helped top raise some money for the society.

“Oliver”

Rehearsals are going well. Children are enjoying Sundays while adults continue Thursday rehearsals. Numbers have been thin during the holiday season; please remember to let a committee member know if you are going to be absent. We have made a good start selling tickets, particularly for the Saturday matinee, but we really
need to keep this up. Posters and handbills are available and there will be “walkabouts” most weekends until the show.

Social Events

Barbeque

A very successful day, possibly the longest ever! Everybody had a great time and had some delicious food. Children, large and small, played the games they enjoy (and enjoyed when they were young!). Older croquet players showed great style. Thanks to Kelly and Marcus for providing the venue, organisation and endless food.

Car Rally

Although not many people took part and it was pouring with rain we had a good time with no accidents (and no speeding fines?!). Thanks again to Kelly and Marcus for organising this event.
